Girl Bassist Rocks!

I have no idea why, but i have always been fascinated with girl bassists. Since I was young, I’ve tried so hard to play the bass even though my piano teacher insisted that since I have dainty li’l fingers, (and when I say little..as in little!), piano is the best thing for me.

Anyways, to make the long story short, that doesn’t stop me from getting what I want. I am not a pro but still, it feels soooo damn good.

Confused MUSIKERA

I believe that inclination in music probably runs within the family. I learned playing the piano when I was 5, acoustic guitar when I was 11, bass guitar when I was 13, drums when I was 18 (thanks to percussion freak), and started singing (in tune) 3 years ago.

Since I was young, I always dream of being in a band. “I am a frustrated band starter.”(This phrase appears on a lot of autograph book of my friends before when asked, ”describe yourself?”)

Maybe you’ll think that being an “all around music gal” is cool, but sometimes I feel it’s the other way around. Until now, I can’t decide on what instrument to excel in. It actually depends on my moods and trip. Sometimes I spent days or weeks practicing guitar, then eventually realize that I want to be a drummer…etc. etc. etc! Silly me!

Now I want to learn the violin. 

PaperDolls Reunited

Back in high school, we had this group called “Paper Dolls”. Why paper dolls? Hmm.. I’m trying to think of it but I can’t seem to recall clearly why. All I can remember is that during those times, I am so desperate in learning the Barbie Almalbis song “Pretty Paperdolls” in guitar. Did that affect the name? I am not even sure.

In this picture is my longtime best friends Mars (we’ve been together since kinder) and Lea (super krazy!)I am also somewhere in this picture. (Who’s who? Well that is to keep the anonymity ) Originally we are four. The fourth member Vivien (whom I usually call Vibes) is nowhere to be found (sad sad sad )

I’m sorry if I didn’t turn out to be your perfect guy. I’m sorry if I disappointed you. I’m sorry if I frustrated you in many ways. This is me, a far cry from your ideal guy. But still… I’m wishing that someday, I’ll be every little thing you wanted..
